[Chorus]
Come on baby, let's get away
Let's save our troubles for another day
Come go with me, we've got it made
Let me take you on an escapade (Let's go)

[Interlude]
I can't take them out...I can't take them out
We gonna have a good, good time, y'all
That is so funky
Wait, break it down, break, break it down
("Keep groovin' on")
Wait a minute now
("Keep groovin' on")
That is so funky
Can we take it higher fellas?
Can we take it higher? Good God...

[Verse 1]
As I was walking by
Saw you standing there with a smile
Lookin' shy, you caught my eye
Thought you'd want to hang for a while
Well I'd like to be with you
And you know it's Friday too
I hope you can find the time
This weekend to relax and unwind

[Pre-Chorus]
My mind's tired
I've worked so hard all week (ooh, all week)
Cashed my check, I'm ready to go
I promise you, I'll show you such a good time

[Chorus]
Come on baby, let's get away
Let's save our troubles for another day
Come go with me, we've got it made
Let me take you on an escapade (Let's go)

[Post-Chorus]
(Es-ca-pade)
We'll have a good time
(Es-ca-pade)
Leave your worries behind
(Es-ca-pade)
You can be mine
(Es-ca-pade)

[Pre-Chorus]
So don't hold back
Just have a good time, yeah
We'll make the rules up as we go along
And break them all
If we're not havin' fun

[Chorus]
Come on baby, let's get away (ooh)
Let's save our troubles for another day (ooh)
Come go with me, we've got it made (ooh)
Let me take you on an escapade (on an escapade, baby)
Come on baby, let's get away (ooh)
Let's save our troubles for another day (ooh)
Come go with me, we've got it made (ooh)
Let me take you on an escapade (let's go)

[Bridge]
Minneapolis!
Come on

We'll have a good time
Leave your worries behind
Where you could be mine
An escapade

Ooh, my mind's tired I've worked so hard all
Worked so hard all week
I just got paid, we've got it made
Ready to go
I promise you I'll show you such a good time

[Chorus]
Come on baby, let's get away (baby, come on now)
Let's save our troubles for another day
Come go with me, we've got it made (baby, come on)
Let me take you on an escapade (on an escapade, baby)
Come on baby, let's get away (baby, come on now)
Let's save our troubles for another day (save it for another day)
Come go with me, we've got it made (got it made)
Let me take you on an escapade (let's go)

[Post-Chorus]
(Es-ca-pade) Come on, baby, let's get away
Let's save our troubles for another day
(Es-ca-pade) Come on, baby, let's get away
Let's save our troubles for another day

[Outro]
(Es-ca-pade) Ooh-ooh...ooh-ooh...
(Es-ca-pade) Ooh-ooo...on an escapade, baby

Keep groovin' y'all

Oh well, that's it! I can't do no more
I can't take no more!
Fade it...fade it out now...come on now
Come on, fade it now
I'm feeling--oh, oh God, it's hot in here, Lord
I'ma faint, I'ma faint
Y'all better fade it, fade it now
Too funky, fade, fade...

Janet Jackson

Janet Damita Jo Jackson is an iconic R&B/pop artist who has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has amassed a number of awards in her illustrious music career.

Born in Gary, Indiana on May 16, 1966, Janet is the youngest of the Jackson family, who rose to prominence a few years after her birth when they signed with Motown Records. Janet joined the family business when she appeared on The Jacksons variety show in 1976, leading to her role as Penny Gordon in Season 5 of the CBS sitcom Good Times. She released two overlooked albums in the early 1980s—Janet Jackson (1982) and Dream Street (1984)—and continued to act during this time, appearing in Diff'rent Strokes and Fame.

The legend of Janet was created after she connected with the legendary Minneapolis production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to work on her seminal third album, Control. Control and her following album, 1989’s Rhythm Nation 1814, featured several #1 pop hits and made her a worldwide superstar. The trio would go on work on Janet’s subsequent hit albums, including janet., The Velvet Rope, as well as her 2015 comeback album, Unbreakable.
