Songwriter: 秋元康 (Yasushi Akimoto)

[Verse 1]
Dirimu duduk memeluk lutut
Di pinggiran geladak
Menghitung banyaknya ombak
Datang mendekat
Diriku ada di sampingmu
Seakan mau mengganggu
Saat sengaja ajak bicara
Kau memukul bahuku

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Laut yang sangatlah biru
Menyerupai rasa sayang
Yang mengajari suatu arti
Dari keabadian

[Chorus 1]
Maafkan summer, menyilaukan
Saat tatap wajahmu dari samping
Dalam hatiku ingin menyentuhmu lembut
Keisenganku saja
Maafkan summer, cinta ini
Meskipun hanya teman, terasa sedih
Hanya angin laut yang sejak dari dulu
Bertiup menujumu
Maafkan summer

[Verse 2]
Burung layang-layang putih
Mengelilingi langit
Seperti memanasi
"Ayo cepat katakan!"
Aku pun diseling bercanda
Melepas sepatu sneakers
Seketika lari sekuat tenaga
Bagai melarikan diri

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Bersama habisnya nafas
Debaran ini menyakitkan
Walau kuhitung deburan ombak
Tak akan ada habisnya

[Chorus 2]
Tetaplah summer, kita berdua
Disinari cerahnya matahari
Perasaanku ini akan terus berlanjut
Apapun yang terjadi
Tetaplah summer, lebih jauh
Menuju cakrawala ujung sana
Aku pun sendirian menapak langkah kaki
Tak mampu bilang suka
Tetaplah summer

[Bridge]
Pasir pantai putih bersih
S'perti perasaan jujur
Yang memaksaku 'tuk minta maaf
Sayang yang terlalu dalam

[Chorus 1]
Maafkan summer, menyilaukan
Saat tatap wajahmu dari samping
Dalam hatiku ingin menyentuhmu lembut
Keisenganku saja
Maafkan summer, cinta ini
Meskipun hanya teman, terasa sedih
Hanya angin laut yang sejak dari dulu
Bertiup menujumu
Maafkan summer

JKT48

JKT48 is an Indonesian idol group whose name is derived from its based city of Jakarta and the Japanese idol group AKB48. Formed in 2011, it is the first AKB48 sister group outside Japan and adopts the concept of “idols you can meet”. Fans can attend daily performances at the group’s theater, which was built as a close replica to the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara.

Producer Yasushi Akimoto decided to bring the AKB48 concept to Indonesia because the group had begun to develop a fan base in the country. Indonesia’s growing economy was seen as a potential market by many Japanese companies, and Akimoto established a franchising partnership with Dentsu Media Group Indonesia to replicate the AKB48 business model. Dentsu Media Group Indonesia then cooperate with the country’s largest media conglomerate Global Mediacom (MNC Media), the southeast Asia’s largest and most integrated media group as JKT48 official media partner.

While JKT48 does not restrict membership by nationality, applicants must be residents of Indonesia. The group has 72 (as of June 2014) members and released its first studio album Heavy Rotation on 16 February 2013 via Hits Records, a division of MNC subsidiary PT Star Media Nusantara. It performs songs by AKB48 and other sister groups that are translated into Indonesian.
