[Verse 1]
Ah yeah
Candles burning low, lots of mistletoe
Lots of snow and ice everywhere we go
Choirs singing carols right outside my door

[Chorus]
All these things and more (All these things and more, my baby)
That's what Christmas means to me, my love
(That's what Christmas means to me, my love)
Ah yeah

[Verse 2]
And ya know what I mean
I see your smiling face like I've never seen before
Even though I love ya madly, it seems I love you more
And the little thoughts you give me touch my heart for sure

[Chorus]
Oh, all these things and more
(All these things and more, my darling)
That's what Christmas means to me, my love
(That's what Christmas means to me, my love)
Ah yeah

[Bridge]
I feel like running wild, I feel just like a little child
Bring you 'neath the mistletoe
I kiss you once, and then some more
Wish you a merry Christmas, baby
(Wish you a merry Christmas, baby)
And such happiness in the coming year, oh
(Happiness in the coming year)
Let's deck the halls with holly, singing "Silent Night"
Dress the trees with angel hair, and pretty, pretty lights
Go to sleep and wake up just before daylight

[Chorus]
Oh, all these things and more, darling
(All these things and more, my darling)
That's what Christmas means to me, my love
(That's what Christmas means to me, my love)
Oh yeah, yeah

John Legend

John Legend was born in 1978 in Ohio. He became an in-demand session musician and songwriter, working with such artists as Alicia Keys, Twista and Janet Jackson. He was soon introduced to up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West, and the two musicians collaborated on one another’s demos.

J. Ivy claims credit for bestowing the “Legend” moniker upon John Stephens (with an assist from Kanye West). Via

Kanye was like, ‘Have you heard of this singer called John Stephens?’ He played me this song from him, that I think will.i.am produced. It was so refreshing and soulful. An hour later, John Stephens comes into the studio. I told him, ‘I heard your music. It’s so amazing. It sounds old school. Man, you sound like one of the legends. You’re a legend. Matter of fact, that’s what I am going to call you from now The Legend. A couple days later, we were in the lounge of the studio (Record Plant) and John Stephens walks in and everyone shouts him out. I was like, ‘John Legend!’ Kanye then said, ‘You’re John Legend from now on. That’s your name!’”
