Songwriter: Kate Bush

Producer: Kate Bush

[Verse 1: Kate Bush]
We went up to the top of the highest hill
And stopped, still

[Bridge 1: Kate Bush]
It was just so beautiful
It was just so beautiful
It was just so beautiful

[Verse 2: Kate Bush]
This is where the shadows come to play
'Twixt the day and night
Dancing and skipping
Along a chink of light

[Chorus: Kate Bush and Bertie McIntosh]
Somewhere in between the waxing and the waning wave
Somewhere in between what the song and silence say
Somewhere in between the ticking and the tocking clock
Somewhere in a dream between sleep and waking up

[Post-Chorus: Kate Bush and Bertie McIntosh]
Somewhere in between breathing out and breathing in
Like twilight is neither night nor morning

[Verse 3: Kate Bush]
Not one of us would dare to break
The silence

[Bridge 2: Kate Bush]
And how we have longed
For something that would
Make us feel so...

[Chorus: Kate Bush and Bertie McIntosh]
Somewhere in between the waxing and the waning wave
Somewhere in between the night and the daylight
Somewhere in between the ticking and the tocking clock
Somewhere in between what the song and silence say

[Post-Chorus: Kate Bush]
Somewhere in between breathing out and breathing in

[Breakdown 1: Kate Bush]
It was a lovely afternoon
It was such a lovely afternoon
Sinking down into the hills
The pillows in the hills

[Breakdown 2: Kate Bush]
Tesoro mio
Gioiello mio
Il sole, il cielo
Il sole, il cielo

[Outro: Chorus, Young Bertie McIntosh]
Goodnight, Sun
Goodnight, Sun
Goodnight, Sun
Goodnight, Mum
