[Verse 1]
You come over, don't talk
Turn the TV on off
Disconnected, unaffected
Better take the call

[Verse 2]
Show you pictures of my hometown
A pin could drop from miles down
What's the use in trying to be a girlfriend
When I know just what we are

[Pre-Chorus 1]
There's nothing in common
Except the bed we lay on

[Chorus]
I won't be caught between something and nothing
When you know that nothing is for free
Cause in the end it's me who pulls the covers
And it's empty in between

[Verse 3]
You're a habit I can't break
Disaster to eliminate
What part of no do I not understand?
When you're no good for me

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Cause I know we will never
Be some kind of forever

[Chorus Extended]
I won't be caught between something and nothing
When you know that nothing is for free
Cause in the end it's me who pulls the covers
And it's empty in between
Cause I'm the girl who needs it all or nothing
How did we become a one-night stand?
Hanging on the thread just isn't something
That I want in the end, no
Oh, it's empty in between

[Bridge]
You come over
Yeah, it's over
Oh, we know just what we are

[Chorus Extended]
I won't be caught between something and nothing
When you know that nothing is for free
Cause in the end it's me who pulls the covers
And it's empty in between
Cause I'm the girl who needs it all or nothing
How did we become a one-night stand?
Hanging on the thread just isn't something
That I want in the end, no
Oh, it's empty in between

Katy Perry

Katheryn Elizabeth “Katy” Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, businesswoman, philanthropist, and actress. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Having had very little exposure to mainstream pop music in her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teen and released her debut self-titled studio album in 2001. She also recorded a second solo album in 2005, (A) Katy Perry, which was scrapped.

Afterwards, Perry (her mother’s maiden name, taken to avert confusion with Kate Hudson) reinvented herself as a party girl pop star, breaking out with 2008’s One of the Boys and the #1 hits “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold”.

Follow-up Teenage Dream (2010) equalled Michael Jackson’s record of five chart-toppers on the same album, and made Perry even more ubiquotous in the pop landscape. Following her marriage and eventual divorce from British comedian Russell Brand, she released an updated version, Teenage The Complete Confection and concert film Katy Part of Me in 2012. She released her fourth album, Prism, in 2013, along with some standalone singles, such as “Rise”.
