[Intro]
Oh baby, oh baby
So you gon' walk out after all this work we put in?
Damn, I'ma keep it 100 with you (Ooh baby)
Never thought you would flip out on us
Let me talk to you

[Verse 1]
Mm-mm
If I got down on my knees, girl, would it make a difference?
Mm-mm
If I told you how much I loved you, would you even listen?
Um, girl, oh yeah baby
Never thought it would end up like this, baby, oh girl
Never thought I would be without your tender care, my lady
Yeah, yeah
Every night I think of you, yeah, yeah, yeah
I can't get over losin' you

[Chorus]
Don't matter how much I try, my baby
(Tell me girl, why we're livin' just one big ass lie)
You gotta tell me, baby, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
(The question that I ask myself is, baby, why, why, why, why?)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 2]
Somebody tell me what, what went wrong with love?
Somebody's gotta tell me now
Somebody tell me, tell me, tell me, what was I, I guilty of?
Never, ever did you wrong, no baby
Uh-uh-uh-uh
Gave this girl, gave this girl
All of me, yes I did
Yeah, yeah, yeah
What's goin' on right now?
It's a travesty, gonna end up, girl, tragically
Somebody come and rescue me
Before I lose my baby, yeah

[Chorus]
Somebody tell me, baby
(Tell me, girl, why we're livin' just one big ass lie)
Why we're livin' just one big ass lie, baby?
Yeah, yeah, yeah
The question that I ask myself is baby, why, why, why, why, girl?

[Bridge]
The truth will set both of us free, baby
Yes are we, yes are we
Why did we do this to each other, baby?
Thought we was so in love (Yeah)
Why did you leave me, baby?

[Chorus]
(Tell me, girl, why we're livin' just one big ass lie)
Why did you walk away, baby?
You're gon' miss my lovin' one day, baby
Tell me what I was guilty of
(The question that I ask myself is baby, why, why, why, why?)
Why did you take your love away from me?
Oh-oh
I don't mind beggin' if I have to, baby
(Tell me, girl, why we're livin' just one big ass lie)
I don't mind, baby, gettin' down on my knees, girl
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, baby
(The question that I ask myself is baby, why, why, why, why?)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, lady
Tell me, baby, tell me, baby
Why did you have to leave me, baby? Whoa, whoa
Somebody come on, whoa whoa
Come on and rescue me, babe
