Be my lady, be my lady tonight
Be my lady, 'cause you're a dancing machine
Be my lady, you're such a lovely lady
Be my lady, let's dance all night

I stepped down on the town just to look around
To see what I could see
There you were on the floor like the night before
Is it love coming over me, ow

I've been watching your dance, girl
And I've been watching you move, yeah
I'm just waiting the chance, baby
To get a little closer to you, oh, baby

Be my lady, be my lady tonight
Be my lady, 'cause you're a dancing machine
Be my lady, you're such a lovely lady
Be my lady, let's dance all night

What I want is your name, give it to me, girl
'Cause you look just that good to me, yeah
Like your style and your smile
Can we talk awhile
You're the key to my fantasy, see, baby

I've been watching your dance, girl
And I've been watching you move
I'm just waiting the chance, baby
To get a little closer to you, oh, see, baby

Be my lady, be my lady tonight
Be my lady, 'cause you're a dancing machine
Be my lady, you're such a lovely lady
Be my lady, let's dance all night

No other woman
Can do this things to me
I want you and you only
'Cause that's the way I feel it should be, oh baby

Be my lady, be my lady tonight
Be my lady, 'Cause you're a dancing machine
Be my lady, you're such a lovely lady
Be my lady, let's dance all night

Let's dance and swing
Come on baby, do your good thing, oh yeah

(I want to dance, baby I do)
(I want a chance, baby with you) I want you tonight
(I want to dance, baby I do)
(I want a chance, baby with you)

Let's dance (be my lady)
And swing
Come on girl (be my lady) dance with me
Let's dance (be my lady) ooh sweet girl
Ooh ooh baby (be my lady)
Come on and dance with me baby (be my lady)

I want to dance, (be my lady) baby I do
I want a chance, (be my lady) baby with you
I want to dance, (be my lady) baby I do
I want a chance, (be my lady) baby with you
I want to dance, baby I do
I want a chance, baby with you
I want to dance, baby I do
I want a chance, baby with you

Kool & the Gang

Kool & the Gang is an American jazz, R&B, soul, funk, and disco group from Jersey City. They were originally named the Jazziacs when they formed the group in 1964.

They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

The group was becoming prominent in the music industry in the 1970s with hits such as “Holly Wood Swinging”, “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness”. However they cemented their legendary status after the addition of lead vocalist James “J.T.” Taylor. With his help they went on to create classic hits such as “Ladies Night”, “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Cherish” and countless others.
