Get up, let's boogie all
The boogie's back again
For the boogie there is no beginning
And there is no end, ha

Come on, feel the funk, y'all, get up
Come on, feel the spirit, spirit of the boogie
Come on, feel it, get strong
Come on, pop your fingers, hey

It's the boogie, y'all
Get down, got to feel it
The spirit of the boogie
That's right, come on now

Get up, just feel the spirit of the boogie
Check it out, just let it flow
'Cause when the boogie come to get you
You ain't got nowhere to go
Just feel the spirit of the boogie
Let it ease right on inside

Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land
Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land

Oh, shake some booty
To the spirit of the boogie
Do it, ride the rhythm

Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm

Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm

Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm
Ride, ride the rhythm

Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land
Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land

Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land
Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land

Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land
Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land

Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land
Feel the spirit of the boogie band
It's the baddest little boogie in the land

Feel the spirit of the boogie band

Kool & the Gang

Kool & the Gang is an American jazz, R&B, soul, funk, and disco group from Jersey City. They were originally named the Jazziacs when they formed the group in 1964.

They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

The group was becoming prominent in the music industry in the 1970s with hits such as “Holly Wood Swinging”, “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness”. However they cemented their legendary status after the addition of lead vocalist James “J.T.” Taylor. With his help they went on to create classic hits such as “Ladies Night”, “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Cherish” and countless others.
