[Intro: Jonathan Davis]
I never thought in my whole entire life, In my wildest dreams
That this moment would be happening right now
This band that we chose as our guest totally got me through high school
This band was the soundtrack of my life then and still is now
I have nothing but mad respect and just to be onstage with these legends
This is Robert Smith and The Cure

[Make Me Bad: Jonathan Davis (Robert Smith)]
I am watching the rise and fall of my salvation
There's so much around me
Such a lack of compassion
I thought it would be fun and games (It would be fun and games)
Instead, It's all the same (It's all the same)
I want something to do
Need to feel the sickness in you
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again (Make me bad)
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad (Make me bad)
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again (Make me bad)
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

[In Between Days: Smith with Davis]
Yesterday I got so old
I felt like I could die
Yesterday away from you
It made me want to cry
Go on, go on
Just walk away
Go on, go on
Your choice is made
Go on, go on
And disappear
Go on, go on
Away from here
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
In between without you
Without you
Yesterday I got so scared
I shivered like a child
Yesterday away from you
It froze me deep inside
Come back, come back
Don't walk away
Come back, come back
Come back today
Come back, come back
Why can't you see?
Come back, come back
Come back to me
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
In between without you
Without you

[Make Me Bad: Davis (Smith)]
All I do is look for you
I need my fix, you need it too
Just to get some sort of attention, attention
What does it mean to you? (Does it mean to you?)
For me, It's something I just do (I just do)
I want something
I need to feel the sickness in you
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again (Make me bad)
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad (Make me bad)
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again (Make me bad)
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

[Outro: Davis (Smith)]
Make me bad (Come back, come back, don't walk away)
Does it make me bad? (Come back, come back, back today)
Does it make me bad? (Come back, why can't you see?)
Does it make me bad? (Come back, come back, come back to me)
Without you
Make me bad
Without you
Make me bad
Without you
Make me bad
Without you

Bakersfield friends James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and David Silveria formed the funk-rock band LAPD in 1989 and moved to Los Angeles with another friend Brian “Head” Welch as their roadie. Later, with Welch as second guitarist, the band named themselves Creep and recorded a demo with pal Ross Robinson.

However, when Shaffer and Welch visited family in Bakersfield, they met Jonathan Davis who added a darker, goth-tinged edge to the band’s heavy groove. Robinson

The band wasn’t dark yet; it had, like, killer grooves and good riffs, but there was some happy edge to it. And when (Davis) walked into the room, it went dark and goth. Basically, during the first song, to audition in the rehearsal room, he started freaking the hell out [laughs]. You couldn’t hear his voice, but you felt chills all over your body, and it was instantly like, “Oh my God, yeah – he’s the one.”
