[Verse 1]
Dress me up a thousand ways
You're counting down the days
'Til I fall from my pedestal
And then you can rescue me
All the world can see
You're the center of it all
We gave it our best try
But then it was goodbye
We were better off alone
But now that's all gone for you
And life is wrong for you
But I can't help that

[Chorus]
You don't need love
It's a question of obsession
So drawn to your own reflection
You want someone
Like a personal possession
To shine light on your perfection

[Verse 2]
Call me up a thousand times
You're hanging on the line
Waiting for me to react
But we've been here before
And when I closed the door
I never wanted a second act
I saw it all clearly
But you didn't hear me
Thought our love was center stage
But now that's all gone for us
And you are dangerous
And I can't help that

[Chorus]
You don't need love
It's a question of obsession
So drawn to your own reflection
You want someone
Like a personal possession
To shine light on your perfection
You don't need love
It's a question of obsession
So drawn to your own reflection
You want someone
Like a personal possession
To shine light on your perfection

[Verse 3]
Gave my heart a thousand times
And I can't count the nights
That I cried myself to sleep
But now I'm so over you
And I see what you do
Your sincerity's kinda cheap
Remember the mind games
Driving me insane
When my life was not my own
And even though you have gone
It still carries on
And I can't stop it

[Chorus]
You don't need love
It's a question of obsession
So drawn to your own reflection
You want someone
Like a personal possession
To shine light on your perfection
You don't need love
It's a question of obsession
So drawn to your own reflection
You want someone
Like a personal possession
To shine light on your perfection

[Outro]
Obsession is a dangerous state of mind
Obsession is a dangerous state of mind
Obsession is a dangerous state of mind
Obsession is a dangerous state of mind

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. Often referred to as the Goddess of Pop with a career spanning over 30 years, she has transformed from girl-next-door soap star to ‘90s pop starlet, and short-lived indie darling to bona fide superstar.

Kylie earned her first big break on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, playing tomboy mechanic Charlene Mitchell. An on-screen romance with Jason Donovan – who played Scott Robinson – blossomed into a real-life relationship, and their wedding on the soap drew in millions of viewers. However, her real ambition was a successful career in music, and by 1988 her debut album, Kylie, was released, reaching #1 in the UK and Australia. Notching up 10 UK Top 3 singles by 1993, she was one of the defining popstars of the early ‘90s. Her follow-ups to the debut album – Enjoy Yourself, Rhythm of Love and Let’s Get To It – all reached the Top 15 in the UK.

With a blossoming relationship with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, Kylie was encouraged to be more ambitious with her image and sound. As such, she left her former label, PWL, and released the daring “Confide In Me” in early 1994. Critics praised her re-invention, and the single restored the success she had somewhat lost with her previous album. Impossible Princess was another critical success but failed to make much of an impact on the charts, which led some media outlets to believe that her “15 minutes of fame” were over.
