[Verse 1: Kylie]
Tell me I'm only dreaming and I'll believe you
Can't see how this could be true
Surrounded by feelings I hardly recognize
I look for explanations, I'm taken by surprise
If you told me yesterday that I could feel this way
I would sure enough call you a liar to your face

[Chorus: Kylie]
Because I'm shocked by the power, oh whoa
Shocked by the power of love
I was rocked to my very foundations
Shocked by the power, shocked by the power

[Verse 2: Kylie]
Maybe this time tomorrow
I'll discover this ain't really real
Because it struck me like lightning, like a bolt out of the blue
Emotions inside me, all over you
I'm high above the universe, losing track of time
And falling free, I can't believe that you are really mine

[Chorus: Kylie]
Because I'm shocked by the power, oh whoa
Shocked by the power of love
I was rocked to my very foundations
Shocked by the power, shocked by the power

[Verse 3: Jazzi P.]
Shocked, like the lightning from up above
Down from the heavens and it gave me love
From a man who respects me
Loves my mind as well as my body
No retreat and no surrender
Equal to you regardless of gender
Giving me love that is warm and tender
That's why I gotta tell ya
You and I are of the same mind
It seems to me that we're one of a kind
It's true to say that when love is blind
That then true love is so hard to find
You respect me and the things I do
It was meant to be, I was made for you
Open the door to my heart, it stopped
And I'm shocked

[Chorus: Kylie]
Shocked by the power, oh whoa
Shocked by the power of love
I was rocked to my very foundations
Shocked by the power, shocked by the power
Shocked by the power, oh whoa
Shocked by the power of love
I was rocked to my very foundations
Shocked by the power, shocked by the power

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. Often referred to as the Goddess of Pop with a career spanning over 30 years, she has transformed from girl-next-door soap star to ‘90s pop starlet, and short-lived indie darling to bona fide superstar.

Kylie earned her first big break on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, playing tomboy mechanic Charlene Mitchell. An on-screen romance with Jason Donovan – who played Scott Robinson – blossomed into a real-life relationship, and their wedding on the soap drew in millions of viewers. However, her real ambition was a successful career in music, and by 1988 her debut album, Kylie, was released, reaching #1 in the UK and Australia. Notching up 10 UK Top 3 singles by 1993, she was one of the defining popstars of the early ‘90s. Her follow-ups to the debut album – Enjoy Yourself, Rhythm of Love and Let’s Get To It – all reached the Top 15 in the UK.

With a blossoming relationship with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, Kylie was encouraged to be more ambitious with her image and sound. As such, she left her former label, PWL, and released the daring “Confide In Me” in early 1994. Critics praised her re-invention, and the single restored the success she had somewhat lost with her previous album. Impossible Princess was another critical success but failed to make much of an impact on the charts, which led some media outlets to believe that her “15 minutes of fame” were over.
