[Intro]
Down, down, down, down
Down, down, down, down

[Verse 1]
Micro love, you're shattered dreams and glitter
The shuffle, shaking shiver
To mourn electro lady luck
Metallically reflecting your retromatic fashion and style
I never want to lose the glow
Strobe lightning take over my soul
Intrusion never let you go

[Chorus]
You won't control me now
I'm burning to feel it
Now I'm ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

[Post-Chorus]
Baby, if you think you're in me
Won't control me now
Ripping up the disco (won't control me now)
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

Down, down, down, down

[Verse 2]
Destiny, I'm hip to your persuasion
Your solid reputation
I follow who's at the red light road
You're slammin' and you relish
So foxy funkadellic, you glow
Light's mantra, I begin to move
Reaction spotlight on the groove
Suspicious, everybody wants to play

[Chorus]
You won't control me now
I'm burning to feel it
Now I'm ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor (now I'm)
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

[Chorus 2]
Baby, if you think you're in me
Won't control me now (now I'm)
Ripping up the disco (won't control me now)
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

[Bridge]
I'm, I'm, I'm in trouble now
I'm, I'm, I'm (serious reputation)
I'm, I'm, I'm ambitious now
I'm, I'm, I'm

Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

[Chorus]
You won't control me now
I'm burning to feel it
Now I'm ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor (now I'm)
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor
Ripping up the disco
Ripping up the disco
Ripping up the disco
Raving on the dancefloor

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. Often referred to as the Goddess of Pop with a career spanning over 30 years, she has transformed from girl-next-door soap star to ‘90s pop starlet, and short-lived indie darling to bona fide superstar.

Kylie earned her first big break on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, playing tomboy mechanic Charlene Mitchell. An on-screen romance with Jason Donovan – who played Scott Robinson – blossomed into a real-life relationship, and their wedding on the soap drew in millions of viewers. However, her real ambition was a successful career in music, and by 1988 her debut album, Kylie, was released, reaching #1 in the UK and Australia. Notching up 10 UK Top 3 singles by 1993, she was one of the defining popstars of the early ‘90s. Her follow-ups to the debut album – Enjoy Yourself, Rhythm of Love and Let’s Get To It – all reached the Top 15 in the UK.

With a blossoming relationship with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, Kylie was encouraged to be more ambitious with her image and sound. As such, she left her former label, PWL, and released the daring “Confide In Me” in early 1994. Critics praised her re-invention, and the single restored the success she had somewhat lost with her previous album. Impossible Princess was another critical success but failed to make much of an impact on the charts, which led some media outlets to believe that her “15 minutes of fame” were over.
