I've spent a lot of time; I've spent a lot of energy
Set in my mind, set in my way settin' him lonely
Keeping my space, Holdin' my own keys
Makin' my way makin' my list of things that I don't need
Like a woman, or a heartbreak, or a woman

You showed me that thinkin' that way is
Overrated
Overrated

I've put a lot of stock
In keepin' easy
Changin' my mood, changin' my socks just to suit me
Limited myself to casual kissin'
Never had a problem easily dismissin' any woman
Or complication
But woman, you showed me that thinkin' that way is
Overrated
Overrated

Havin' no pictures to clutter the walls
Or anyone angry if I forget to call
Freedom and room and time alone
I'm telling you, you're all
Over rated...
Over rated...

I've spent a lot of time
I've spent a lot of energy
Set in my mind set in my way settin' him lonely
Keeping my space, holdin' my own keys
Makin my way makin' my list of things that I don't need
Like freedom room, and time alone, I'm telling you they're all
