[Intro]
Ooh
Ooh, ooh, ohh, ah
Ooh, ooh

[Verse 1]
It's so hard just holding on
Ain't even picking up my phone
It's hard enough to be, hard enough to sleep
Hard enough to be alone
I'm just tryna to move along
Some times I do and then I don't
You tell me what I'm doing wrong
Tell myself that it ain't healthy
Second guessing, it don't help me
I'm so tired of feeling empty
Dry my eyes, it's time to fight
It seems like I'm always against me
Seems like this is never ending
And I refuse to let it end me
Mentally (Mhm), spiritually (Oh), physically
I need my peace, yeah, oh
I need my pеace, oh, oh, oh-oh

[Chorus]
I wake up evеry morning and tell myself
"Good morning gorgeous"
Some times you gotta look in the mirror and say
"Good morning gorgeous"
No one else can make me feel this way
Good morning gorgeous
Good morning gorgeous
Good morning gorgeous
Oh

[Verse 2]
All the times that I hated myself (Yeah)
All the times that I wanted to be someone else (Yeah)
All the times that I should've been gentle with me
All the times that I should've been careful with me
Why did I hate myself? (Why did I hate me?)
So intensely
Lord, help me

[Chorus]
I wake up every morning and tell myself
"Good morning gorgeous"
Some times you gotta look in the mirror and say (Yeah)
"Good morning gorgeous"
No one else (Oh, yeah) can make me feel this way
Good morning gorgeous (Oh, good morning)
Good morning gorgeous (Good morning, good morning, good morning)
Good morning gorgeous
Oh-oh, oh-oh

[Bridge]
I ain't talkin' 'bout getting no hair and make up (No, no, no)
I'm talkin' about soon as I wake up (Oh, oh) I say "Good morning" (Say good morning)
Good morning (Good morning)
Good morning (Good morning)
Good morning gorgeous (Yeah)

[Outro]
Yeah, yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Ay, oh (Oh)
Oh (Oh)
Oh, oh, oh

Mary J. Blige

Mary Jane Blige (b. Jan 11 1971) grew up in the projects of Yonkers, New York. A random decision to record a cover of “Caught Up in the Rapture” by Anita Baker in a pop-up recording booth at a mall led MJB to getting signed by Uptown Entertainment. After providing background vocals on Father MC’s hit single “I’ll Do 4 U” in 1990, a young intern at Uptown named Sean “Puffy” Combs ended up executive producing Mary’s 1992 debut album What’s The 411?. Fusing hip-hop beats with Mary’s soulful voice earned her the nickname “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul”.

She followed up her debut with a string of critically acclaimed albums, including 1994’s My Life and 1997’s Share My World, as well as hit singles such as “Not Gon' Cry,” “Family Affair,” “Be Without You,” and “Just Fine.”

She also collaborated with rappers on a number of tracks, including Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” Ghostface Killah’s “All That I Got is You,” Wyclef’s “911,” Common’s “Come Close,” and Method Man’s “I’ll Be There for You/All I Need to Get By,” which was a platinum hit and won the two of them a Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group.
