[Verse 1]
Sunlight, moonlight
It's always open
If a time that passes by
Forward and forward
I'll keep on moving
To give me that reason why

[Pre-Chorus]
And I won't forget
No, I'll keep going back

[Chorus 1]
Back to my home

[Verse 2]
For all of these years
I've been waiting to leave
Where would I call my home
And without your comfort
Without your love
How could I stand all alone?

[Pre-Chorus]
And I won't forget
No, I'll keep going back

[Chorus 2]
But for now
I'll be gone again
I promise you, I promise you
That there
There will be no chafe again
I give you my word
That I'll always make it back
Home
Back to my home
My home, hmm

[Bridge]
But it's not that I can't leave him
For long
Wasting my time
Just feel so wrong
And I open my eyes
So I've realized
That life's just not a song

[Break]
But for now
I'll be gone again
I promise you

[Chorus 2]
For now
I'll be gone again
I promise you, I promise you
That there
There will be no chafe again
I give him my word
That I'll always make it back
Home
Back to my home

Meghan Trainor

Meghan Trainor is a pop singer-songwriter from Nantucket. Before launching her solo career, she wrote songs for the likes of Sia and Sabrina Carpenter. She entered pop stardom with the controversial but danceable body-positivity anthem “All About That Bass,” which led her 2015 debut LP, Title.

In 2016, Meghan released her sophomore effort Thank You, which was preceded by the smash single “NO.” Peaking at #3 on the Hot 100, top 20 track “Me Too” & the reggae-influenced “Better” supported the release of the album.

Staying reasonably quiet in 2017, Trainor dropped the single “I’m A Lady” for the “The The Lost Village.” Trainor underwent vocal surgery during the year and needed time to rest her voice before returning to the limelight.
