[Verse 1]
Think I drank too much again
Looks like fun, but it's pretend
Why do I try to fit in
When I just wanna go home?

[Pre-Chorus]
And I know this isn't like me
I just want people to like me
Got my glass up in the air
And I act like I don't care
And I take some, but I shouldn't
And I say things that I wouldn't
And I'm just part of the crowd
But I feel better now, so

[Chorus]
Keep on playing that song that I don't like
I just wanna feel normal for the night
Keep on kissing that guy that's not my type
I just wanna feel normal for the night
I should go, it's getting late
But I'ma keep on dancing 'til I feel okay
So keep on playing that song that I don't like
I just wanna feel normal for the night

[Verse 2]
Taking pictures in the dark
Smoke it up 'til I, I can't talk
Fooled myself, almost forgot
That I just wanna go home (I just wanna go home)

[Pre-Chorus]
And I know this isn't like me
I just want people to like me
Got my glass up in the air
And I act like I don't care
And I take some, but I shouldn't
And I say things that I wouldn't
And I'm just part of the crowd
But I feel better now, so

[Chorus]
Keep on playing that song that I don't like
I just wanna feel normal for the night
Keep on kissing that guy that's not my type
I just wanna feel normal for the night
I should go, it's getting late
But I'ma keep on dancing 'til I feel okay
So keep on playing that song that I don't like
I just wanna feel normal for the night

[Bridge]
I just wanna feel normal for the night
I, I just wanna feel normal

I, I just wanna feel normal for the night
I just wanna feel normal for the night

Meghan Trainor

Meghan Trainor is a pop singer-songwriter from Nantucket. Before launching her solo career, she wrote songs for the likes of Sia and Sabrina Carpenter. She entered pop stardom with the controversial but danceable body-positivity anthem “All About That Bass,” which led her 2015 debut LP, Title.

In 2016, Meghan released her sophomore effort Thank You, which was preceded by the smash single “NO.” Peaking at #3 on the Hot 100, top 20 track “Me Too” & the reggae-influenced “Better” supported the release of the album.

Staying reasonably quiet in 2017, Trainor dropped the single “I’m A Lady” for the “The The Lost Village.” Trainor underwent vocal surgery during the year and needed time to rest her voice before returning to the limelight.
