[Verse 1]
No one is perfect, we all lie
Life ain't forever, we all die
What is the purpose, we all wonder
Pain doesn't discriminate, we all cry

[Chorus]
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply (Oh)
Broken dreams are made of glass
Faith alone will not suffice (Yeah)
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply
But we don't wanna think
We wanna dance, party life

[Post-Chorus]
Party life, party life
Oh, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah
Yeah, yeah-yeah

[Verse 2]
No politician can change greed
So many follow but don't lead
What is the purpose, we all wonder
Love is the only thing we all need

[Chorus]
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply (Oh, yeah, ayy, baby)
Broken dreams are made of glass
Faith alone will not suffice (Yeah)
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply
But we don't wanna think
We wanna dance, party life

[Bridge 1]
Right, you're alright baby
Oh, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah, ooh-woah
Look around, oh yeah, ayy

[Chorus]
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply (No it don't apply, baby)
Broken dreams are made of glass
Faith alone will not suffice (Say it again now)
You and I were born to fly (Ayy)
Destiny does not apply
But we don't wanna think
We wanna dance, party life

[Bridge 2]
In ice the ship is going down
We'll just keep on dancing, ayy

[Chorus]
You and I were born to fly (Yeah, baby)
Destiny does not apply (Oh)
Broken dreams are made of glass
Faith alone will not suffice (Faith alone)
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply
But we don't wanna think
We wanna dance, party life (We came to dance)

You and I were born to fly (Yeah, baby)
Destiny does not apply (Oh)
Broken dreams are made of glass
Faith alone will not suffice (Faith alone)
You and I were born to fly
Destiny does not apply
But we don't wanna think
We wanna dance, party life

[Outro]
It's kinda sad but I think
We're gonna keep on dancing

Miguel Jontel Pimentel, better known simply as Miguel, is an American recording artist, songwriter and producer. He was born and raised in San Pedro, California. His father is Mexican-American and his mother is African American. He often flaunts his Spanish in many songs. He also sung Remember Me from the movie Coco along side Natalia Lafourcade. In 2007, he signed to Jive Records in 2007 and released his debut album, All I Want Is You, in November 2010.
