[Verse 1]
What am I supposed to say
When I only speak the truth?
If you're trying to inflict more pain
Then you're good at what you do
But we may never be the same
That's what brings me back to you

[Pre-Chorus]
And you electrify my brain
You electrify my brain

[Chorus]
I'm screaming out, out
My insides coming out, out
Said we'd make it thru this time around, round
But look what's already happening now, now
My insides coming out
My insides
My insides coming out
You electrify my brain

[Verse 2]
Woke up this morning but I'm dead
And I can't get out of my head
And I didn't really get much sleep
'Cause you came to me in my dreams
I never really thought you'd leave
Take your freedom and making a change

[Pre-Chorus]
And you electrify my brain
You electrify my brain
You electrify my brain
You electrify my brain
You electrify my brain

[Chorus]
I'm screaming out, out
My insides coming out, out
Said we'd make it thru this time around, round
But look what's already happening now, now
My insides coming out
My insides coming out
My insides coming out
My insides coming out
You electrify my brain

[Bridge]
Covered in blood, covered in goo
Covered in tears, covered in glue
Oh I'm missing you, oh I'm missing you
Colored in green, colored in blue
Colored in gold, colored maroon
Oh I'm missing you, oh I'm missing you
You electrify my brain

[Chorus]
I don't want you to go
I need you to stay
But I want you to know
This back and forth can drive me crazy
I'm scattered across the room
Want you to come and pick me up
It was my heart that you threw
But I'm still missing you
You electrify my brain, brain
But I'm still missing you
You electrify my brain

[Outro]
What am I supposed to say
When I only speak the truth?

Miley Cyrus

Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus, November 23rd 1992) is an American singer, songwriter and actress, as well as the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She was named Destiny Hope Cyrus at birth but was given the nickname “Smiley” because she was always grinning. The name stuck and she legally changed it in 2008.

Her singing career started simultaneously with her role in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana, which made her a teen idol. She was featured on the 2006 soundtrack of Hannah Montana. After signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2007, she released Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. The album served as both the series' soundtrack and Cyrus' debut studio album.

With the 2010 release of Can’t Be Tamed, Cyrus developed a more mature image with a dance-oriented sound. The album caused controversy due to the lyrics and music video of Can’t Be Tamed.
