[Spoken]
When did you first discover love?
That wonderful moment when the world takes on a new and beautiful glow?
Your senses whirl, your heart stops, your pulse stops, and life begins
And all because you're a guy and there are girls!

[Into]
Girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls!

[Verse 1]
There are hundreds and thousands of girls in the world
How's a guy gonna choose?
There are shy girls
There are fun girls
There are girls who can give you the blues

[Verse 2]
There are hundreds and thousands of girls everywhere
And wherever I go
There are smiling
And beguiling
It's confusing
But I like it so!

[Verse 3]
On the street cars
In the drive ins
On the hayride there are girls
(At the picnic
In the phone booth
At the racetrack there are girls)
In the valley
In the mountains
By the seashore there are girls
They're so hard to resist
Every one of them oughta be kissed

[Verse 4]
There are hundreds and thousands of girls in the world
I'm so glad I'm a guy
(Sweet as wine girls)
Valentine girls
And I can't give them up if I try

[Outro]
There are hundreds and thousands of girls in the world
And I love them all till I die!

Girls!

Nat “King” Cole

Nathaniel Adams Coles (17 March 1919 – 15 February 1965) was born in Montgomery, Alabama and used the stage name Nat “King” Cole throughout his career as a jazz pianist and later as a singer.

Cole’s first mainstream hit was “Straighten Up and Fly Right” in 1943. Bo Diddley, who performed similar folk-based material said that song was a big influence on him.

In the late 40s, Cole began recording more pop-oriented material. His stature as a pop singer was cemented by hits like “Route 66”, “Mona Lisa” and “Unforgettable”. In the 50s, virtually every home had a copy of his Christmas album.
