(written by natalie cole)

Do you realize that I could see the windows of the world through your eyes?

Pretty eyes

(da, da, da, da, da, da, da)

(your eyes)

Your eyes that (da, da, da, da, da, da)

Mesmorize and hypnotize

(la, la, da, la, da, da, da)

(your eyes)

(da, da, da, da)

They can tell no lies

Hm, little adelines, (da, da, da, da, da, da)

You're so fine

(your eyes)

(da, da, da, da, la, la)

Even your wrinkles shine

(even your wrinkles shine)

Pretty, pretty eyes. uh

(your eyes)

(da, da, da, da, da, da)

Pretty, pretty eyes, uh

Da, da

Your so fine; I just hope there's time

'cause your eyes are so kind

I feel like they're a friend of mine

Although there's pain behind

And it's so far away

But they just seem to say

It's okay, 'cause the rain must fall every now and then

But oh, ho, ho

Everything's gonna be alright again

(there goes that smile again)

There goes that smile again

The one that shines through I'll defend

Never have I seen eyes like yours

That smile much better than any I know

(even your wrinkles shine)

Even your wrinkles shine

(your eyes that smile are fine)

Won't you stay awhile

Won't you look through me

So I can be what you see

You're so fine

(your eyes)

(la, da, da, da, da, da...)

Your eyes are so kind

(la, da, da)

(your eyes)

I never would have known

It never would have shown

That you were blind

Natalie Cole

The daughter of jazz legend Nat King Cole, Natalie Marie Cole (February 6, 1950-December 31, 2015) was an R&B icon who was primarily active from 1956 until her death in 2015 due to congestive heart failure at age 65. She first rose to success in the mid-‘70s with Inseparable and Natalie and later spawning Grammy-recognized albums like Unforgettable…With Love, which took home Album of the Year.

Cole has nine Grammy Awards out of twenty-one nominations – only a small testament to her legend.
