[Verse 1]
Well, if the same thing happened to you
Will you still put me through what you put me through?

[Chorus]
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
What if it happened-

[Verse 2]
And the man keeps shaking you down
But you can't get a ride to his side of town?

[Chorus]
If it happened to you
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
Keep it out of my shoes, and if you're stepping on toes
Keep it out of my nose

[Verse 3]
'Cause if the same thing happened to me
Well, it won't be as bad as it used to be

[Chorus]
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you too?

[Guitar solo]

[Chorus]
Well, if it happens to you
If it happens to you
What if it happens to you?
Keep it out of my shoes, and if you're stepping on toes
Well, keep it out of my nose

[Verse 3]
'Cause if the same thing happened to me
Well, it won't be as bad as it used to be

[Outro]
If it happens to you
If it happens to you
What am I going to do?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you
What if it happened to you?
If it happened to you

Paul McCartney & Wings

Paul McCartney and Wings, also known simply as Wings, were an Anglo-American rock band formed in 1971 by former Beatle Paul McCartney with his wife Linda McCartney on keyboards, session drummer Denny Seiwell, and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. Wings were noted for frequent personnel changes as well as commercial success, going through three lead guitarists and four drummers. However, the core trio of the McCartneys and Laine remained intact throughout the group’s existence until 1981.
