Songwriter: Peabo Bryson

Into my life you came, now you're gone
I don't even know what I've done
Tears come to my eyes
Every time I think about your face

Where do I begin to explain
If I lose it now, it would be such a shame
Giving up without a fight, even if it's right
I'm in love with you, so in love
I don't what to do

And I wish that I could turn the hands of time
Rewrite the lines, all the love between us, girl
No one would be hurt in the end
We would be friends

Somewhere along the way, love went wrong
But why did it have to wait so long
Tears come to my eyes, there's no pride
For a man in my place, well, well

Well, I wish that I could turn the hands of time
Rewrite the lines, all the love between us, girl
No one would be hurt in the end
We would be friends

Oh, into my life you came, girl, you're gone
And nothing can take the place of your touch
Tears come to my eyes, there's no pride
For a man in my place, oh-whoa...

Where do I begin to understand
All by myself, I don't know if I can
Giving up without a fight, even if it's right
I'm in love with you, still in love
I don't what to do

And I wish that I could turn the hands of time
Rewrite the lines, all the love between us, girl
No one would be hurt in the end
We would be friends...
