"Mandy" is the first single from the American pop band Jonas Brothers from their debut album It's About Time. It was released as a single on December 27, 2005.[1] The song had a 3 part video and made it to #4 on TRL. The song was written about a family friend named Mandy VanDuyne, who was taught sign language by their mother so she could help the hearing impaired. Mandy is Joe Jonas' former girlfriend, and continues to be a close family friend. This song is also featured on Zoey 101: Music Mix, soundtrack to the show, Zoey 101. Read more on Last.fm.

[Verse 1]
Well, you almost had me fooled
Tell me that I was nothing without you
And after everything you've done
I can thank you for how strong I have become

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I'll just say this is I wish you farewell

[Chorus]
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

[Verse 2]
I'm proud of who I am
No more monsters, I can breathe again
And you said that I was done
You were wrong and now the best is yet to come
I can make it on my own
I don't need you, I found a strength I've never known
I'll bring thunder, and I'll bring rain
When I'm finished, they won't even know your name

[Pre-Chorus]
You brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I'll just say this is I wish you farewell

[Chorus]
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

[Bridge]
Oh, sometimes I pray for you at night
Someday (someday), maybe you'll see the light (see the light)
Oh, some say, in life, you're gonna get what you give (get what you give)
But some things only God can forgive

[Chorus]
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

Pentatonix

Pentatonix is an a cappella group who gained notoriety after winning Season 3 of NBC’s The Sing Off, a competition for a cappella bands. The group consists of members Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee, who replaced original member Avi Kaplan. Kaplan announced his departure from the group in May 2017.

PTX has made history as the first a cappella act to win the Grammy for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, or A Cappella — they won the award in both 2015 and 2016. They also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017 for their collaboration with Dolly Parton.

The group released their self-titled debut studio album in 2015, consisting of mostly original songs. The album was certified gold in February 2016 and debuted on top of the Billboard 200, spending thirty weeks on the chart.
