[Intro: Kirstie]

La la la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la

[Verse 1: Scott, (Mitch)]
You lift my heart up when the rest of me is down
You, you enchant me even when you're not around
If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down
I'm latching on, babe, now I know what I have found (Never)

[Verse 2: Mitch]
Hush, don't speak
When you spit your venom, keep it shut; I hate it
When you hiss and preach
About your new messiah 'cause your theories catch fire

[Pre-Chorus: Mitch]
I can't find your silver lining
I don't mean to judge
But when you read your speech, it's tiring
Enough is enough

[Chorus 1: Kirstie]
I'm covering my ears like a kid
When your words mean nothing I go la la la
I'm turning up the volume when you speak
If my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it, I go

[Post-Chorus: All but Kevin, (Mitch)]
La la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la (Never)

[Verse 3: Scott]
I'm so encaptured, got me wrapped up in your touch
Feel so enamored, hold me tight within your clutch
How do you do it? You got me losing every breath
What did you give me to make my heart beat out my chest?

[Verse 4: Mitch, (Mitch, Scott, and Kirstie)]
Now, I've got you in my space
I won't let go of you
Got you shackled in my embrace
I'm latching on to you (never let go, I won't let go)

[Bridge: Mitch, Scott, (Kirstie), all three]
I feel we're close enough
I can't find your silver lining
I wanna lock in your love
I don't mean to judge
I feel we're close enough
(La la, la la la la la la la la la la, la la)
But when you read your speech, it's tiring
I wanna lock in your love
Enough is enough

[Chorus 2: Kirstie and Scott, (Mitch)]
Covering my ears like a kid
(And I'm latching onto you) la la la
(And I'm latching on)
I'm turning up the volume when you speak
(Latch, la la la la la)
If my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it, I go

[Outro: All but Kevin, (Mitch)]
La la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la (latching onto) latching
Onto la la, la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la, la la la la la la la la la (Never)

Pentatonix

Pentatonix is an a cappella group who gained notoriety after winning Season 3 of NBC’s The Sing Off, a competition for a cappella bands. The group consists of members Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee, who replaced original member Avi Kaplan. Kaplan announced his departure from the group in May 2017.

PTX has made history as the first a cappella act to win the Grammy for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, or A Cappella — they won the award in both 2015 and 2016. They also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017 for their collaboration with Dolly Parton.

The group released their self-titled debut studio album in 2015, consisting of mostly original songs. The album was certified gold in February 2016 and debuted on top of the Billboard 200, spending thirty weeks on the chart.
