[Verse]
Summertime, out there slavin', we exhausted from the heat
Better get a ride home, 'cause ain't no walkin' when it's beef
They only wanna know a story when they chalk him in the street
Buries you downside when that coffin gettin' deep
Twenty-five, that's just an age that we don't often get to see
Told bro to stay on point, 'cause they'll knock him off to get to me
Stuck in my gangsta ways, I'm living lawless and discrete
Ain't go to see a therapist, I just start talkin' to them beats
I'm just tryna be that baller that my dawg ain't get to be
I got bigger dreams, 'cause I ain't doin' all this shit for me
Was always confident, they tried to tell me that I couldn't brag
Brown card box, that's where the money, crack, the kush stashed
On the west side, I'm tryna hustle for a lil' cash
Angel on my shoulder can't convince me that I shouldn't spaz
Disrespectful niggas get a zipper and foot-tag
Like a track race, that gun went off and then they took ass
Momma disappointed, my mistakes just made her look bad
Always found something to get into with my crooked ass
Then I beat the odds, 'cause I can come up with a hook fast
P-O-L-O G that's just a name that you can't look past
I'm goin' number one for all the times that we was put last

Polo G

Taurus Tremani Bartlett (born January 6th, 1999) otherwise known as Polo G, is a breakout star from Chicago known for his impeccable delivery, rowdy drill records, and heartfelt personal tracks.

Born on the north side of Chicago in the Cabrini-Green district, G experienced the grisly and unforgiving realities of the street life within Illinois' largest city. Growing up on the block, experiencing the deaths of friends and loved ones, and facing jail time became the staples of Capalot’s childhood, which he in turn implemented into his music as a means to escape what he witnessed and was raised on.

The rap genre became an outlet for the Windy City teen to cope with the violent loss of several family members and friends. In 2017, he started releasing tracks on SoundCloud and YouTube via WorldStarHipHop, which slowly gained him a following.
