[Intro]
1, 2, 3, 4...

[Verse 1]
Readying to bury your father and your mother
What could you care when you take another?
I used to wonder why did you bother
Distanced from one, blind to the other

[Verse 2]
Listen here my sister and my brother
What could you care if you took another?
I used to wonder why do you bother
Distanced from one, dead to the other

[Chorus]
Oh, oh, sweetness follows

[Verse 3]
Listen here my sister and my brother
Distanced from one, blind to the other
Yeah we were all together
Lost in our little lives

[Chorus]
Oh, oh, sweetness follows

[Instrumental Break]

[Instrumental Chorus]

R.E.M.

R.E.M. were an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and drummer Bill Berry.

Berry quit the band in April 1997, as they were getting together to record demos for the album Up. He was not replaced on a permanent basis, but the band used an assortment of drummers in his place.
