[Verse 1]
This could be the saddest dusk I've ever seen
I turn to a miracle, high-alive
My mind is racing, as it always will
I'm half a world away
My hurricane, my shoes are gone

[Chorus]
My head sworn to go it alone and hold it along
Haul it along and hold it
Hold it alone and go it along
And hold

[Verse 2]
[?] to the rain
Corner of, corner of the sea
Alone and [?]
My shoes are gone
I had too much to drink
I didn't think and I didn't think of you
I guess that's all I needed

[Chorus]
To hold along and go it along
And haul it along and hold it
Blackbirds, backwards, forwards and fall
And hold

[Verse 3]
[?] on the sea
Corner of, corner of alone
Sea [?] bedtime tea
The storm it came up strong
It shook the trees and blew away our fear
I couldn't even hear

[Chorus]
Here to go it along, hold it along
Hold it along and haul it
Blackbirds, backwards, forwards and fall
And hold
Go it alone, hold it along
Haul it along and hold it
Blackbirds, backwards, forwards and fall
And hold

[Outro]
Oh, this may be the saddest dusk I've ever seen
I turn to a miracle, high-alive
My mind is racing, as it always will
I'm half a world away
Oh, oh oh oh

R.E.M.

R.E.M. were an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and drummer Bill Berry.

Berry quit the band in April 1997, as they were getting together to record demos for the album Up. He was not replaced on a permanent basis, but the band used an assortment of drummers in his place.
