[Verse 1]
Decide yourself if radio's gonna stay
Reason, it could polish up the gray
Put that, put that, put that up your wall
That this isn’t country at all

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Ray beam station
Beside yourself

[Verse 2]
Keep me out of countries and the word
Disappointments leading us absurd
Put that, put that, put that thing far off
Back's on boat, it's sinkin’ fast, you're on the bottom floor

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Straight off the boat
Where to go?

[Chorus]
Callin' out in transit
Callin' out in transit
Radio Free Europe
Radio

[Verse 3]
Beside defying media too fast
Instead of pleasing others, please yourself
Put that, put that, put that thing between my sheets
That this isn't run 'em up, ooh-ooh

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Ray beam station
Beside yourself

[Chorus]
Callin' on in transit
Callin' on in transit
Radio Free Europe
Radio

The expectations are too big
Trying to pleasе you, why, [?], please me

Instead of pleasing others, please yourself

R.E.M.

R.E.M. were an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and drummer Bill Berry.

Berry quit the band in April 1997, as they were getting together to record demos for the album Up. He was not replaced on a permanent basis, but the band used an assortment of drummers in his place.
