Strugglin', strivin', strugglin', strivin'
Strugglin', strivin', strugglin', strivin'

[Verse 1: Palaceer Lazaro]
Due to the fall and collapse of the fly by these so called "ballers" who rap
I twist my bass till it stack don't stall so its not to fall through the trap
To be an MC is a pact, not an act / and in fact its an honor
React to / my styles they'll charm you
They whack, so dance cuz this way bomber than that
I cruise one arm out the 'lac the alarms on my lap
Ain't no turning back to / the way things was
I adapt to / pimp styles thats new when I'm getting at you
And every nigga fact is a actual / recognize the cash rule so it's only natural
Since you getting it
They gonna come and tap you / they gonna have the gats too When they coming at you

[Hook]
To break bread nigga, bread nigga, bread nigga, bread
Bread nigga, bread nigga, bread nigga, bread
Bread nigga, bread nigga, bread nigga, bread
Bread nigga

[Verse 2: Silk]
Yes, you got it dude, some say I'm rude
Great for food no change in the attitude
Peep your passion I ain't never been mad at you
Actually, I'm far beyond gratitude
To ya'll cats that are way back that's on you
Hit the hood man gats on you
For my real my nigga it be easier to break bread
It's a shame the lames are tossed up
Got the game crossed up
Real bosses boss up
Create the domino effect if you're smart
Noah mission would've been pointless with no animal on the arc
So you need ya folks, at least a little bit
You would've been nothing, without the little shit
You a soldier but ya'll ain't real yet
Come on man, right
It just be easier my nigga to break bread
My best advice, it ain't gotta be ya last but you can sacrifice
You don't know where it came from what kinda ruin are you?
Little cornball dumb-dumb
Hit ya with the 40 cal. til ya body numb
No problem have my goons rob 'em
Shoulda gave back broke bread with the cats and the dogs on the block
Now what nigga?
Ok

Shabazz Palaces

Shabazz Palaces are Ishmael Butler, formerly of Digable Planets and Cherrywine, and percussionist Tendai Maraire. Ishmael provides the group’s vision and vocals, while Tendai employs ancient instruments from his homeland Zimbabwe.

They deliver sincere and radical lyrics that fluctuate between afrofuturism and surrealism, over beats that make use of glitch music, funk, minor-key jazz, deep soul, psychedelia, industrial music, ambient music, and mbira sounds. They structure their songs to often highly transform the 16-bars/chorus/repeat form of hip hop. Their music won them the first ever Music Genius award from The Stranger in 2010.
