Shaggy

Orville Richard Burrell CD (born October 22, 1968), known mostly by his stage name Shaggy, is a Jamaican reggae fusion singer and deejay. He took his nickname from Shaggy Rogers, from the cartoon Scooby Doo.

He was born on October 22, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1975 he and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York.

The singer released his first hit “Oh Carolina” in 1993, which was a dancehall re-make of a ska hit by the Folkes Brothers.
