Kisses sweet as marmalade
Two lovers who had it made
Not a dark cloud in sight
Everything seemed so right

Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time

A small apartment two could share
Overdone cooking nobody cares
Tastes like caviar
Because of where we are

Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Ooh-ooh-ooh...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Ah-ah-ah...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Well, well, well
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time

Where are you now and where am I
Said that you would never say goodbye

Take me back to yesterday
Yester feeling yester way
Holding someone tight
Morning, moon and night

Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Oh-whoa-whoa...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Rewind, rewind
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Take me back there now

Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Oh-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa...
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Wanna go back, wanna go back
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Rewind, I wanna go back to that time
Rewind, rewind

Smokey Robinson

Arguably the greatest songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century, Robinson’s timeless creations for Motown, both for his own group and for other artists, provided the ultimate example of what a pop song can be. From The Beatles to Bob Dylan, the rest of the 60s followed in his wake

As if that wasn’t enough, he created a whole new genre in the mid-70s with “quiet storm”, a radio format named after one of his songs. He continues writing and performing today.
