[Verse 1]
I know you're half-awake
And no hate and I know how to do it
Hold the door and let it out
Don't get it right or wrong
No, I don't get it

[Pre-Chorus]
I know you're half afraid
Half amazed, all insane
I know it's all a cage
And all the rage
And all together gone

[Verse 2]
You and me, we're average
With simple minds and lungs, eyes and skin
You and me, we're hopeless
We're nowhere hearts so tear it out
And open it

[Pre-Chorus]
I'm giving blood tonight
I don't care how, don't care why
I'm giving blood tonight
I'm feeling just like I could give it all

[Chorus]
I know you're sick and alone
Mothers and suckers alike
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
We can bleed, we can bleed
We can bleed together, oh yeah

[Verse 3]
Show me and hand me down
And hang me up alone and cold and bury me
Show me and throw me out
And hold me down, air me out
And wear me

[Pre-Chorus]
I know you're half afraid
Half amazed, all insane
I know it's all a cage
And all the rage
And all together gone

[Chorus]
I know you're sick and alone
Mothers and suckers alike
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
We can bleed, we can bleed
We can bleed together

[Post-Chorus]
Too altogether cold
Too altogether numb

[Outro]
I know you're sick and alone
I know you're sick and alone
I know you're sick and alone
(Come away and come with me)
Mothers and suckers alike
(And come around and come and see)
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
(And cover up and come along)
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
(Before race before the calm)
I know you're sick and alone
(And he walks out and fires the gun)
Mothers and suckers alike
(Happy with the things he won)
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
(The head of God on the wall)
We can bleed together, we can bleed together
(Ahead of us the heads of us)
Oh yeah

Soundgarden

One of the biggest rock bands out of Seattle, Soundgarden was formed in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Matt Cameron became the band’s full-time drummer in 1986, while bassist Ben Shepherd became a permanent replacement for Yamamoto in 1990. While one of the creators of the Grunge alternative rock and the first to sign to a major label, they only rose to stardom once the genre was popularized by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains in the early 90s. After achieving great success with 1994’s Superunknown, the band decided to call it quits three years later due to internal squabbles. Eventually they reunited in 2010, releasing new album King Animal two years later. Frontman Chris Cornell committed suicide in a Detroit hotel room on May 17, 2017. He was 52 years old.
