[Verse 1]
You hide your eyes
But the ugly truth just loves to give it away
You gave yourself
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away

[Chorus 1]
You share
But money can't give what the truth takes away
Throw it away

[Verse 2]
I painted my eyes
Ugly isn't what I want to see
I painted my mind
Ugly isn't what I want to be

[Chorus 2]
I don't mind
But the truth don't look that good on me, yeah
Throw it away, throw it away

[Bridge]
I don't think I really understand you
And I can't see why I'd ever want to
And even if it isn't mine to say
I'll say it anyway
It's ugly
It's ugly
It's ugly
You're not mine to give
You're not mine to give
You're not mine to give
You're not mine to give
It's ugly

[Outro]
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away
If you were mine to give
I might throw it away
Yeah, but money can't give what the truth takes away
Throw it away
Throw it away
If you were mine to give
If you were mine to give
If you were mine to give
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away
If you were mine to give, I might throw it away
Throw it away
Throw it away

Soundgarden

One of the biggest rock bands out of Seattle, Soundgarden was formed in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Matt Cameron became the band’s full-time drummer in 1986, while bassist Ben Shepherd became a permanent replacement for Yamamoto in 1990. While one of the creators of the Grunge alternative rock and the first to sign to a major label, they only rose to stardom once the genre was popularized by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains in the early 90s. After achieving great success with 1994’s Superunknown, the band decided to call it quits three years later due to internal squabbles. Eventually they reunited in 2010, releasing new album King Animal two years later. Frontman Chris Cornell committed suicide in a Detroit hotel room on May 17, 2017. He was 52 years old.
