[Intro: Thomas Rhett]
It is normal that I can't hear myself, right?
(Yeah) Okay
C'est la vie
Mm-mm

[Verse 1: Thomas Rhett]
Lookin' up, yeah, at the sky
Ain't a cloud rollin' by
Look at you, girl, on my mind
Hey there, baby, now ain't it the life?

[Chorus: Surfaces & Thomas Rhett]
All I need is a lake and my lady
All I need is a place to get lazy
Call on me if you wanna get wavy
Singin' oh, oh-oh-oh
C'est la vie (Ooh, yeah, yeah)
C'est la vie (Yeah, yeah, oh yeah)
C'est la vie (Yeah, yeah)
Singin' oh, oh-oh-oh (Yeah)
C'est la vie

[Verse 2: Surfaces]
Oh, you move me like a melody
And I love when you got your hands on me
Oh, you taste so sweet like grandma's tеa
Baby, no way Heaven gets no bеtter than this

[Chorus: Surfaces & Thomas Rhett]
All I need is a lake and my lady
All I need is a place to get lazy
Call on me if you wanna get wavy
Singin' oh, oh-oh-oh
C'est la vie (Ooh, yeah, yeah)
C'est la vie (Yeah, yeah, oh yeah)
C'est la vie (Yeah, yeah)
Singin' oh, oh-oh-oh (Oh yeah)
C'est la vie

[Bridge: Thomas Rhett]
Jump in, let's get wavy
Pour some sugar, 1980s
Pull me closer, drive me crazy
Wanna do this on the daily
Lost all track of time
Little piece of paradise
No way Heaven gets no better than this

[Chorus: Surfaces & Thomas Rhett]
All I need is a lake and my lady (Yeah)
All I need is a place to get lazy (Oh, a place to get lazy)
Call on me if you wanna get wavy (Call on me, call on me, baby)
Singin' oh, oh-oh-oh
C'est la vie

[Outro: Thomas Rhett]
C'est la vie now, baby (C'est la vie)
Just call on me if you wanna be wavy (C'est la vie)
Hey, hey, hey
Oh-oh-oh
C'est la vie

Surfaces

Formed in 2017, Surfaces is a Texas-based duo made up of Forrest. and Colin Padalecki, making upbeat, feel-good pop influenced by ‘70s R&B, electronica, and hip-hop.

After working with his cousin in high school, Padalecki continued working on tracks while attending Texas A&M University, where he began posting songs online, which caught the attention of Forrest. In December 2017, Surfaces released their debut album, Surf, which included the song “Be Alright.”

The track gained fans online and helped build buzz for the duo, who eventually found themselves touring in support of the album. In 2019, they issued their sophomore LP, Where the Light Is, which included “Sunday Best,” catapulting the duo into the spotlight. Surfaces returned with their third album, Horizons, in 2020.
