[Verse 1]
Do you remember anyone here?
No you don't remember anything at all
I'm sleeping, I'm flat on my back
Never woke up, had no regrets

[Hook]
There's a party in my mind
And I hope it never stops
There's a party up there all the time
And they'll party till they drop

[Chorus]
Other people can go home
Everybody else can split
I'll be here all the time
I can never quit

[Verse 2]
Take a walk through the land of shadows
Take a walk through the peaceful meadows
Don't look so disappointed
It isn't what you hoped for, is it?

[Hook]
There's a party in my mind
And I hope it never stops
I'm stuck here in this seat
I might not stand up

[Chorus]
Other people can go home!
Other people, they will split!
I'll be here all the time!
I can never quit

[Outro]
Everything is very quiet
Everyone has gone to sleep
I'm wide awake on memories
These memories can't wait
These memories can't wait
These memories can't wait
These memories can't wait, ooh!
(Can't wait)
(Can't wait)
(Can't wait)
These memories can't wait (can't wait)

Talking Heads

Ground-breaking rock band Talking Heads is arguably one of the most influential bands of all time. Spearheaded by their slightly crazy lead singer David Byrne, they were at the forefront of the New Wave movement.

The band was formed in 1974 by Byrne and drummer Chris Frantz. Frantz’s then-girlfriend-later-wife Tina Weymouth was quickly recruited to play bass. After a few recordings and performances, guitarist/keyboardist Jerry Harrison was hired to round out the group.

Their first album, Talking 77, was appropriately released in 1977. It quickly received critical acclaim.
