(No matter how long it takes, Julien, I will stop you!)
(Courageous words, sire, but where you're going, that won't be possible.)

(No matter how long it takes, Julien, I will stop you!)

[Verse 1]
Now listen to me and put your head into my hands
I'm here to save the world because I'm a magic man

[Chorus 1]
And I went through years of dreaming just to avoid you
But now you're back from outer space
With that sad look upon your face
Just like the one you had when you came back
And Laura told you we were going out
And I always said I mean you well
Watch you, you were the one I swear
When I came back home to find the hotel rooms and the phone bills
You spent on him
Just give me a chance now to turn it around

[Verse 2]
Now here's the time of day
I've been around the block
Well I’m aware of the guy you insist who’s smoking pot

[Chorus 2]
And I went through years of dreaming just to avoid you
But now you're back from your grandma's place
With that pissed look upon your face
Just like the one you had when you came back
And found Bon Jovi had broken up
But I always said I mean you well
You're always living on a prayer
When I came back home to find the hotel rooms and the phone bills
You spent with him
Chin up, chest out and turn it around

[Audio Sample]
(You'll regret this, Julien. You'll regret this.)
(Careful, Roman. I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye.)

[Bridge]
And if I search, I'll find you
Darling!

[Outro]
Well, I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?
I'm back
Can I see you?

The 1975

The 1975 consists of Matthew Healy (vocals/guitar), Adam Hann (lead guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass), all of whom are from Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. The four band members, now based in Manchester, met in Secondary School and began playing together as teenagers.

The eclectic four-piece band have amorphous drifts between brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dancefloor R&B, and 80’s gloss pop, as well as lead singer Matthew “Matty” Healy’s stories of lust, intoxication, and the unabashed grittiness of modern youth. Common themes in their lyrics range anywhere from dysfunctional relationships, to the failure of modernity.

Throughout 2012, The 1975 released multiple EPs, which sparked the start of their careers. The following year, 2013, their self-titled debut album took the world by storm. From 2014 until 2015 the band’s focus was on touring, though they did reveal through photos on social media that their next sound would reflect a departure from their previously black-and-white aesthetic.
