[Chorus: Jackson 5]
Baby, you got honey love
Sweeter than candy, you got honey love
I've got to have it, that honey love
Sweeter than candy, that got honey love

[Verse 1: Jackson 5 + Michael + (Jermaine)]
I keep on yearning all in my sleep
You've got me burning (for that sweet treat)

[Chorus: Jackson 5 + (Michael)]
Baby, you got honey love
Sweeter than candy, that honey love
Keep on making that honey love
Keep on shaking that honey love
(Shake that honey for me)
Keep on making that honey love
(Make it just right, yeah)
I'll keep taking that honey love
(All day and night)

[Verse 2: Jackson 5 + Michael + (Jermaine)]
I can't believe love can be so neat
Oh and your sweet love
(Girl, it just can't be beat)

[Chorus]
Baby, you got honey love
It's sweeter than candy, that honey love

[Bridge]
Honey love, honey love
Honey love, honey love
Baby, adoodoowop, adoo adoo adoodoowop
Baby, adoodoowop, adoo adoo adoodoowop
Let's get down, down, down
Down, down, down, down, down
Adoodoowop, adoodoowop, adoo adoo adoodoowop
Let's get down, down, down
Down, down, down, down, down
Adoodoowop, adoodoowop, adoo adoo adoodoowop

[Verse 3: Jackson 5 + Michael + (Jermaine)]
Baby, I must be dreaming
Oh baby, (girl, you got me screaming)

Honey, oh honey
Ah...
Baby, ah, baby, ah, baby, ah, baby, ah, baby, ah, baby
Ah, baby, ah, baby

[Outro: Jackson 5 + Michael]
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Get on down, candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Keep on doing what you're doing
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Keep on making, keep on making
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Get down, get down
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Keep on doing it, keep on doing it, keep on making
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love, yes
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Get down, get down, get down
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Get on down, get down
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Get down, get down, oh
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love
Keep on making, doing what you're doing
Candy love, sugar love
Get down with that honey love...

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
