[Intro]
Do do do do wah ow
Do do do do wah

[Verse 1: Michael]
The love we're standing on is shaky ground
There ain't no way on earth to hold you down
And every road I take to you is still losing, oh yeah, ha
I gonna find a boat to row away
Where I won't be reaching for you night and day
Where there's no windows, ain't no doors
To let your love in, oh I, I

[Chorus]
I can't quit your love, oh yeah
No matter how hard I try to
I can't quit your love, no I can't
I keep running back to you
You know I can't quit your love, oh yeah!

[Verse 2: Michael + (Jackson 5)]
You snap your fingers and I feel on fire
Like silly spinning wheels of desire
You have to be a bird with wings to get me higher
(Higher, higher, higher)
The minor things for me has lose control
The weakness of my judgement rules my soul
You know you got each maven me after the wire, oh!

[Chorus]
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
No matter how hard I try to
I can't quit your love, no no no
I keep running back to you
You know I can't quit your love, oh yeah!

Can't quit your love, baby (well, well, well)
Can't quit your love (I can't quit your love)
I can't quit your love
Can't quit your love

I can't quit your love, do do do do do wah, ow!

[Chorus]
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
No matter how hard I try to
Can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
I keep running back to you
Can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
No matter how hard I try to
Can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
I keep running back to you
Can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it, can't quit it
I can't quit your love, can't quit your love
No matter how hard I try to...

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
