[Intro]
(Goin' to a go-go)
(Goin' to a go-go)
Na na na na, yeah

[Verse 1]
Well, there's a brand new place I've found
Where people go from miles around
They come from everywhere
And if you drop in there
You might see anyone in town

[Chorus]
(Goin' to a go-go)
Everybody's (goin' to a go-go)
Come on now (Don't you want to go)
Yeah
One more time, yeah

[Chorus]
I'm (goin' to a go-go)
Ooh, ooh, whee (Goin' to a go-go)
Baby, come on now

[Verse 2]
It doesn't matter where you are
A go-go can't be far (Go-go)
You'll see the people from your block
And don't be shocked (Go-go)
If you see your favorite star (Go-go)

[Chorus]
(Goin' to a go-go)
'Cause everybody's (Goin' to a go-go)
Oh, come on now (Don't you want to go)
Yeah, people, come on

[Bridge]
(Ooh, ooh)
Na na na na, yeah (Ooh, ooh)
Tell me (don't you want to go)
Yeah it's all right
I am (goin' to a go-go)
Yes I am (Goin' to a go-go)
Oh, come on now

[Verse 3]
It doesn't matter if we gon' stagger
It doesn't matter if you gon' drag, oh
You're sure to have some fun
I'm telling everyone
Most every taxi that you flag is

[Chorus]
(Goin' to a go-go)
Oh, come on baby (Goin' to a go-go)
Baby, come on now (Don't you want to go)
Yeah

[Outro]
One more time, yeah
I'm (goin' to a go-go)
Ooh, ooh, whee (Goin' to a go-go)
Baby, come on now (Goin' to a go-go)
Come on, baby (Goin' to a go-go)
Oh, come on now (Goin' to a go-go)

The Miracles

The Miracles (also known as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles from 1965 to 1972) were an American rhythm and blues vocal group.

They were formed at school in Detroit in 1955 as The Five Chimes. In 1956 they changed their name to The Matadors, adding Claudette Rogers to the line-up. They were spotted by Berry Gordy at an audition in late 1957 and in February 1958 changed their name to The Miracles. Their first release, ‘Get A Job’ b/w ‘My Mama Done Told Me’, was issued via the End label that same month. Another single on End followed, and then one on Chess and Motown, before the group finally found a home on Tamla where they had a string of hits and Smokey established himself as a key songwriter for the label throughout the 1960s.

In late 1965 Berry Gordy decided to adjust the group’s name and they were billed thereafter as Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, until Smokey left the group in July 1972 (although the final Smokey Robinson & The Miracles single was not released until November). He was replaced by Billy Griffin, with the name being reverted back to The Miracles for the new line-up.
