Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, do you

Let's take our time all the way

[Verse 1]
Nine in the streets, niggas ridin' in the streets
Try to police then we sob and repeat
I done seen this like a hundred million times
Seen a white riot get a black nigga shot
Strapped fully, yes, 'cause the pig finna ride
Blasphemy, yes, they ain't askin' for God
They ran through the stores, they ran through the spas
It's hard to get mad when it's mad niggas gone
Yeah, no fear of the law
Lights turnin' off, niggas head comin' off
Yeah, nigga ran through Dior
Flight Club gone in and takin' off
Resilient we are, we still here tomorrow
My dawg got looted, said it’s fair but it’s hard
America is gone, and here are the results
I'm tryna move different but to where 'cause I'm lost

[Chorus: McClenney, Wale & Both]
Left, right
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, you do
Lovin' the way you move it baby
Let's take our time all the way

[Verse 2]
My niggas want peace so my niggas want problems
I never lack passion, I maybe lack knowledge
Celebrate the progress, that's how we mobbin'
We was movin' targets and niggas moved Target
Movin' different, I'm trying move smarter
Trying move black, that's suicidal
Maybe I'm different, seein' shit darker
I'm all out of mirrors 'cause of CVS robbers
Trippin' I'm, trippin' I'm, trippin' I'm buggin'
Skippin' curfew just to sit with my brother
Liquor store, liquor store, liquor store runnin'
I'm tryna sip a little but the military frontin'
Roads all covered, the police love it
Some rich black niggas ain't donate nothin'
I won't say nothin, but bro, do better
I'm saying 2020, now we gotta move different like

[Chorus: McClenney & Wale]
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, you do
Lovin' the way you move it baby
Let's take our time all the way

[Interlude]
And at times violent
A peaceful protest in the Fairfax District dissolves into civil disobedience
Cruisers vandalized, tagged, and set on fire
Cell phone video shows plumes of black smoke as buildings burned
Protesters smashed windows and looted stores

[Pre-Chorus: Wale, McClenney & Both]
If I could be right next to you
Who my ally? Who my enemy?
Who is who?
If I could be right next to you
Who is empty? Who got empathy?
How you move?

[Chorus: McClenney, Wale & Both]
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, do you
Left to right, side to side, you do
Lovin' the way you move it baby
Let's take our time all the way
