[Intro]
Ooh (Konvict)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh

[Verse]
When your love is strong and it comes from the heart
Ain't no man strong enough
Ain't no time long enough to tear it apart
And that's what we had, believe it or not
So on the final day I thought all the hurting pain will end up on top
So I won't cry 'cause you're goin' away
'Cause the chemistry we've got, it don't fade
I won't be wishing for better days
'Cause deep, inside I know our love stays the same

[Chorus]
You gotta know
No matter where you are (You got me)
Baby, near or far (You got me)
Our love will never fade (You got me)
So let me hear you say it
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there (No matter what)
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there, there (No matter what)
'Cause I got you, baby, yeah

[Verse 2]
I never lie
'Cause you are the reason that my heart is beating, and I am alive
Before you go, thinking that I can't be replaced, no
I got you waiting for the rest of my life (Oh, you gotta know)

[Chorus]
No matter where you are (You got me)
Baby, near or far (You got me)
Our love will never fade (You got me)
So let me hear you say it
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there (Oh, no matter what)
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there (No matter what)
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there (No matter what)
I'll be there, I'll be there, there(No matter what)
'Cause I got you, baby, yeah

[Bridge]
I'll hold you up (When you just can't stand)
I'll make you cry (When you think that you can't)
By my side forever (Baby, that's the plan)
I'll be your everything, I'll be your everything, oh (I got you)
Whoa, oh

[Chorus]
No matter where you are (You got me)
Baby, near or far (You got me) (I got you, baby)
Our love will never fade (You got me)
So let me hear you say it
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there (Whoa, no matter what)
Baby, I got you, I'll be there, I'll be there, there (I'll be there)

[Outro]
Say you got me, I want you, baby
Say you love me, I need you, baby
I got you, baby, oh-oh, you got me
I'll be there, I'll be there (I'll be there for you)
I love you baby, I love you darling
I'll be there, I'll be there
I'll be there, I'll be there

Whitney Houston

Known across the pop culture spectrum as the “Queen of Pop” and “The Voice” for her mezzo-soprano octave, Whitney Elizabeth Houston left an indelible impression upon pop culture. She is one of the most successful artists of all time, with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide.

Born August 9, 1963, Houston grew up singing as part of the gospel choir at her local church. She was surrounded by powerful voices in her own family (mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick, godmother Darlene Love, honorary aunt Aretha Franklin). After working as a model and commercial actress in the early 1980s, Whitney was discovered during a New York City nightclub performance, which led to her signing a contract with Clive Davis at Arista Records. Whitney’s first song was a duet in 1984 with Teddy Pendergrass on “Hold Me.”

She released her self-titled début album the following year, which catapulted her into superstardom as the album topped the Billboard 200 for 14 non-consecutive weeks before becoming the top-selling album of 1986, eventually achieving diamond status in the US and selling over 22 million copies worldwide. The singles “Saving All My Love For You,” “How Will I Know,” and “Greatest Love of All” topped the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved platinum status. The music video for “How Will I Know” received heavy rotation on MTV, which was uncommon for Black women at the time. She took home the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award for “Saving” in 1986; her performance at the Grammys of “Saving” later won her an Emmy award. She also won seven American Music Awards between 1986 and 1987.
