[Intro]
Did you know that you are loved?
You are loved, you are loved
See, I know that I am loved
I love you, too
I love you, I love you
But you are loved by somebody bigger than you and I
His name is Jesus
I don’t know if you know that or not
Maybe you don’t know, maybe you don’t believe it
It’s alright
But it’s so good to know, it’s good to know
When nobody else loves you, Jesus does
He’s always there
You can feel Him, feel Him way down deep inside your heart
Call Him, and he’ll be, he’ll be there
He’s there, my God, my God, oh, is everywhere
Come on, let’s tell ‘em how much He loves ‘em

Ooh, ooh, tells me, tells me
Yes, Jesus loves me, for the Bible, the Bible tells you and me so
(Tells me so) Oh, yes, it does (Ooh, ooh, tells me so)
Jesus loves me, this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones and big ones to Him belong
We are weak but God is strong
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
I’m proud to say, yes, Jesus loves me
For the Bible tells you and me so
Oh yes, it does (Ooh, ooh, tells me so)
I believe it (Ooh, ooh)

That’s why I’m pressing on to the other way
Always guide me, dear Lord I pray
I’m undeserving and stubborn-willed
But never failed to love, love me still

Say, yes, Jesus loves me
Oh yes, my Jesus, He does love me
Oh yes, Jesus loves me
For the Bible tells me so

Yes, Jesus loves me, He loves me
Oh yes, did you know Jesus, He does love ya
For the Bible tells me and you so
(I know I am loved)
I know I am loved, it tells me so
(Feels so good to know)
And it feels so good to know I’m never alone
Sometimes I’m lonely but never alone
For the Bible, it tells me, for the Bible, the Bible, it tells
For the Bible, I’m so glad it does, it tells—read it—it’ll tell you so
Oh yes it well (Tells me so)
Believe in your hearts, you are loved (Tells me so)
You and you, and you, and you and you, and you are loved
(Tells me so) He loves each and every one of us, oh yes He does
(Tells me so) I am so glad to know that I’m loved, yeah
Oh yes, I’m mighty glad—aren’t ya glad?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh

Mmm, mmm, alright, we won’t do the whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa
I need your participation—can you help me?
Give me “He’s got the whole world”—gonna do that, okay? Alright
You believe that God loves us all, right? Right? Right?
With all the trouble in the world, yeah, I know some people say
“Oh, he don’t love us!” “How could he do this to us?”
“Leave us in all this sin?”
But He is capable of saving, He is capable of comforting you when nobody else can
Now I wouldn’t tell you this if I didn’t know it was true, okay?
So right now, we’re just gonna put it all in God’s hands
And we’re gonna say, He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands—can you say that with me? Come on
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world—come on, I need to hear ya—in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
Alright, I wanna hear you now, come on, everybody sing with me
He’s got the whole world in His hands, everybody
He’s got the whole world—come on—in His hands—do you believe it?
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
Come on, a little louder, come on, cut it now, two, three, break
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands—oh, come on
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
You sound beautiful, beautiful, I am so proud, thank you so much
Do you feel it? Do you believe it? Do you believe it?
You gotta believe it, believe in God
He’s got the whole world, yes
He’s got the whoe world in His hands—come on, sing
He’s got the whole world in His hands—I believe it
He’s got the whole world—I do believe it—in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh, I’m so glad
Thank you so much

Whitney Houston

Known across the pop culture spectrum as the “Queen of Pop” and “The Voice” for her mezzo-soprano octave, Whitney Elizabeth Houston left an indelible impression upon pop culture. She is one of the most successful artists of all time, with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide.

Born August 9, 1963, Houston grew up singing as part of the gospel choir at her local church. She was surrounded by powerful voices in her own family (mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick, godmother Darlene Love, honorary aunt Aretha Franklin). After working as a model and commercial actress in the early 1980s, Whitney was discovered during a New York City nightclub performance, which led to her signing a contract with Clive Davis at Arista Records. Whitney’s first song was a duet in 1984 with Teddy Pendergrass on “Hold Me.”

She released her self-titled début album the following year, which catapulted her into superstardom as the album topped the Billboard 200 for 14 non-consecutive weeks before becoming the top-selling album of 1986, eventually achieving diamond status in the US and selling over 22 million copies worldwide. The singles “Saving All My Love For You,” “How Will I Know,” and “Greatest Love of All” topped the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved platinum status. The music video for “How Will I Know” received heavy rotation on MTV, which was uncommon for Black women at the time. She took home the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award for “Saving” in 1986; her performance at the Grammys of “Saving” later won her an Emmy award. She also won seven American Music Awards between 1986 and 1987.
