[Verse 1: Daniel Seavey & All & Jonah Marais]
I don't want a girl who gets a car for her sweet sixteen
Or spends a stack of dollar bills on a limousine
I want a girl who takes the bus and who wears baggy jeans
Rockin' Nike Airs, what the hell are Louboutins?
Don’t want no fake tan, short skirt, daddy’s money, don’t work
Shop until you drop on the town
I want a smart girl, stronger than her father
Someone who will laugh at tryna fit in the crowd (ah-ow, ow)

[Pre-Chorus: Jonah Marais]
And all we used to dream about
Is getting rich and getting out
Move to the nicer part of town
Where we'd have numbers on our house
It took a while to figure out
What type of girl that I'm about
Who brings the real man out of me, yah

[Chorus: Zach Herron & Jack Avery]
I don't really want no trust fund baby
I like my women independent
And I say to people, "That's my lady"
And we don't need nothing e-e-e-lse
I don't want no trust fund baby
Save your money, don't spend it
And I say to people, "That's my lady"
And we don't need nothing e-e-e-lse

[Post-Chorus]
I don't want no, baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
Ow, baby, ow, baby, baby, baby, ow-ow
Baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
E-e-e-else, baby, baby (I don't want no)
Ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
Baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
E-e-e-else, baby, baby

[Verse 2: Corbyn Besson & Jonah Marais]
I don't want a girl who take selfies, want her makeup free
Don't want no mean girl lady, a pink prom queen
I want a girl who climbs trees, always dirt on her jeans
Her daddy told her how to fix cars, maybe she could fix me
I want a throwback kid who loves Missy Elliot
Who for my birthday, makes a mixtape and puts it on cassette
Want a girl with common sense, who's dripping in confidence
Don't wanna die to get rich but she love Fifty Cent (ah-ow, ow)

[Pre-Chorus: Jonah Marais]
And all we used to dream about
Is getting rich and getting out
Move to the nicer part of town
Where we'd have numbers on our house
It took a while to figure out
What type of girl that I'm about
Who brings the real man out of me, yah

[Chorus: Zach Herron & Jack Avery]
I don't really want no trust fund baby
I like my women independent
And I say to people, "That's my lady"
And we don't need nothing e-e-e-lse
I don't want no trust fund baby
Save your money, don't spend it
And I say to people, "That's my lady"
And we don't need nothing e-e-e-lse

[Post-Chorus]
I don't want no, baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
Ow, baby, ow, baby, baby, baby, ow-ow
Baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
E-e-e-else, baby, baby (I don't want no)
Ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
Baby, baby, ow-ow, baby, baby, ow-ow
E-e-e-else, baby, baby

[Outro: Jack Avery & Jonah Marais & Zach Herron]
I don't want no
I don't want no trust fund baby (no, I don't want me)
I just want me a proper lady (no, I don't want me)
I don't want no trust fund baby (no, I don't want me)
I just want me a proper lady (no, I don't want me)
I don't want no trust fund baby (no, I don't want me)
I just want me a proper lady (no, I don't want me)
I don't want no trust fund baby (no, I don't want me)
No, I don't want me

Why Don’t We

Why Don’t We is a boy band consisting of Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Jack Avery. The members individually gained recognition over social media by posting covers and doing live streams. Seavey was also a contestant on season 14 of the American TV show American Idol. The group started activities on September 27, 2016, with the release of their two singles “Taking You” and “Nobody Gotta Know” and EP Only The Beginning, shortly thereafter.

The band gained a lot of recognition from their 2017 single “Something Different”. They went on to release four EPs in that year, notably gaining recognition for their collaboration with YouTuber Logan Paul, who also directed several of their music videos at this time.

Their first release in 2018, the Ed Sheeran-written “Trust Fund Baby,” ranked #2 on the American iTunes Chart, and was the band’s highest achievement to that date. They released three singles in June, July and August of that year preceding their first full length album on August 31, 2018. “Talk”, the second pre-release, peaked at #1 on the American iTunes Chart, surpassing their personal record just five months later.
