JLS (an initialism of Jack the Lad Swing) were a British boy band consisting of members JB Gill, Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold and Oritsé Williams.

They originally signed to Tracklacers production company New Track City and then went on to become runners-up of the fifth series of the ITV reality talent show The X Factor in 2008, coming second to Alexandra Burke.

The group were highly successful, selling over 6 million records in the UK alone, before splitting up in December 2013.
