NewJeans (뉴진스) is a South Korean girl group under ADOR, an independent HYBE subsidiary, who debuted on August 1, 2022, with their first eponymous mini album. They consists of five members in total, Hanni, Minji, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein.
On November 21, 2021, HYBE revealed information regarding the launch of ADOR, along with the plans of debuting a female group in 2022, composed of trainees recruited during the Plus Global Audition under the guidance of CEO, Min Heejin.
On July 22, a music video for NewJeans' track, “Attention” was released ahead of their debut in August. For the next two days, the group also uploaded videos for “Hype Boy” and “Hurt”.
