Olivia O'Brien (born November 26, 1999) is a singer-songwriter from Napa, CA and currently living in Los Angeles, CA. She first grew to prominence releasing covers on her SoundCloud.
One song, “hate u love u,” was noticed by gnash, who remastered the song, included O'Brien’s chorus and one verse, added his own verse, and re-released the song under the title “i hate u i love u.” That song blew up, reaching the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Australian charts.
She is the cousin of Devon Carlson (Jesse Rutherford’s girlfriend) and Sydney Carlson.
