Songwriter: Akon

[Chorus]
PS, please remember me
From your first steps to your anniversaries
Makes these later your memories
PS, please remember me
PS, please remember me

[Verse 1]
There's a wall [?] out everything
Nobody thinks the system ever failed
[?] does it put me here
So from away from you and what we share
See, I’ve not always been the perfect man (Man)
If you don't write back, I'll understand (Understand)
The star masked man on my side and I’ll have change
Babe I've learned from my mistake
Babe I've learned from my mistake

[Chorus]
PS, please remember me
From your first steps to your anniversaries
Makes these later your memories
PS, please remember me
PS, please remember me

[Verse 2]
So many promises I know girl, I know
I'll find a way to make it all up to you
So please don't cry, I know it's so hard to do
You're the reason why I make it through
So you when you get home, kiss the babies on the cheek for me
Let them know what they mean to me
Tell them what dad I used to be
Make sure they don't end up like me (Like me)
Make sure they don’t end up like me (Like me)

[Chorus]
PS, please remember me
From your first steps to your anniversaries
Makes these later your memories
PS, please remember me
PS, please remember me

[Bridge]
And I fighten all these years, no possibilities (No possibilities)
And I numb all my fears, never been type to weep (Been the type to weep)
And I know I’m innocent and I'll pray one day that I’ll go free
A life of a man in the pain of [?] ([?])
It's the life of a man in the pain of [?] ([?])

[Chorus]
PS, please remember me
From your first steps to your anniversaries
Makes these later your memories
PS, please remember me
PS, please remember me

Akon

Akon (born Aliaume Akon Thiam), is a Senegalese-American Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling rapper, songwriter, singer and businessman. His trademark is singing the word ‘convict’ at the beginning of most of his songs.

Akon was born in the US but spent much of childhood in the West African country Senegal. There, he learned to play five instruments including the djembe, guitar and drums. Early on Akon signed a deal with Elektra Records, but was later dropped from the label.

His career took off when Lil Zane introduced Akon to music executive DeVyne Stephens, who signed him to his label UpFront Records and became his longtime manager and business partner.
