Trying not to love you, failing in every way
With you around, I keep losing ground everyday
Trying to be fair both to me and to you
Trying not to love you is hard to do

But I guess there's no use hiding
What everybody knows
'Cause to other eyes, there's no disguise
For the love that shows
So if I'm not being clear
I'll repeat these words to you
Trying not to love you is hard to do

Well, I guess there's no use hiding
What everybody knows
'Cause to other eyes, there's no disguise
For the love that shows
So if I'm not being clear, baby
I'll repeat these words to you
Trying not to love you is hard to do
Trying not to love you is so hard to do
