[Intro: Choir]
Softness in our hymn
Soft, like coming rain
Soft, like Bronwen
Victoria!

[Chorus]
Bring back the world
Bring back the girl

[Verse 1: Kyote Noir & Butch Arkas]
I'm a god, I'm a boss where I'm from
You don't understand, baby you should talk to the don
Straight aces, no patience, plus some old favors
Gray acres, different places, it's all spacious
So cold, but so magic
All tragic, blood bombs all hold sadness
The worth of another man's soul will know balance
We're tipping on the scales of hell, [?] madness

[Pre-Chorus: Daniella Wizard]
Bring back the world
Bring back the girl

[Interlude: Choir]
Softness in our hymn
Soft, like coming rain
Soft, like Bronwen
Victoria!

[Verse 2: Kyote Noir & Butch Arkas]
The lights shine from the valley
Polished cherries stay hangin' from a blind alley
But blind alleys never show me to your tree of life
Hear the price, you can pick the fruit if you share a slice
Planting my seeds in the Garden of Eden
Your deep weaving evokes a feeling, a true meaning
Boy, true meaning, won't you see it
I been looking for the recipe
Rest in peace to your green valleys that set me free

[Chorus: Daniella Wizard & Butch Arkas]
How green, how green was my valley?
Softness in our hymn
Soft, like coming rain
Soft, like Bronwen
Victoria! Victoria!
How green, how green was my valley?

[Verse 3: Kyote Noir & Butch Arkas]
Have you ever spoke to god and received a response?
Have you ever felt like Christianity was a con?
I'm a beast of the night, a sound of angels when they cry
I'll sacrifice a lamb, I'll teach a son how to survive
I put the stings on bees, I put the rings on Saturn
I put the zest in leaves, I designed your destiny
You know the whole last pattern is still following religion
You know the [?] in my mind are deeper than you can fathom

[Chorus: alt-J & Daniella Wizard]
How green, how green was my valley?
Softness in our hymn
Soft, like coming rain
Soft, like Bronwen
Victoria! Victoria!
How green, how green was my valley?

[Outro: alt-J & Daniella Wizard]
How green, how green was my valley?
How green, how green was my valley?
How green, how green was my valley?

alt-J

alt-J is an English indie rock band that consists of vocalist and guitarist Joe Newman, keyboardist and bassist Gus Unger-Hamilton and drummer Thom Green. Gwil Sainsbury was the band’s bassist before leaving the band in early 2014.

Formed at Leeds University and signed to a label in Cambridge, UK, the band originally made songs on Garageband before releasing them under the pseudonym ∆.

∆’s name takes a little explaining. Pronounced alt-J, the delta sign is inserted when you press alt and J on a Mac keyboard.
