[Intro: Big Shug]
Ah heh
Big Shug

[Scratches: DJ Premier]
And that’s realer than Real Deal Holyfield
And now you hookers and hoes know how I feel
And that’s realer than real

[Verse 1: Big Shug]
For every motherfucker who spoke my name in vain
I’m still here, baby, chest high in the game
For every motherfucker who thought I would fail
I’ve been winning since the day I got out of jail
For every motherfucker who questioned my tactics
Never fucked with dumb dudes and can’t-hustle bastards
Every motherfucker who snitched on my moves
It’s been a long time since we seen you (Fact)
For every motherfucker who fronted a fake minute
Say nothing when you see me ‘cause you and I been finished
For every motherfucker who say they’re a better rapper
Better actor, how come you’s a non-factor?
For every motherfucker who taint the legacy
Gang Starr, motherfucker, Big Shug and DJ P
To our brother, Guru, forever R.I.P
And fuck the fake niggas who claiming they family
And every motherfucker who I ever chastised
With fire in my eyes ‘cause I fire when I ride
Guaranteed to hit you right between the eyes
I call it like I see it, I ain’t never lied
For every motherfucker claiming you’re number one
Got nothing for me, son, you’s a rum ba bum bum
I’m passed the fuckery and the shenanigans
Step in the crossfire and get left like a mannequin
Motherfucker, have I made myself clear?
DJ Premier, (What up Shug?) show ‘em why I’m here
Show ‘em why I’m real, hit them with the steel
Tell these motherfuckers exactly how I feel
Every motherfucker

[Scratches: DJ Premier]
And that’s realer than real
And that’s realer than real
And that’s realer than real
And that’s realer than real

Big Shug

Big Shug (born Cary Guy) is a hip hop artist and actor from Boston, Massachusetts, and a member of the Gang Starr Foundation collective.

Cary spent much of his early life in Boston’s Mattapan area (known locally as “Murdapan”). Growing up, he forged a friendship with future Gang Starr MC, Guru. The two were separated when Shug was imprisoned and Guru moved to New York, forming Gang Starr with DJ Premier.

On his release, Shug again hooked up with Guru, joined the Gang Starr Foundation, and contributed to each of Gang Starr’s albums, beginning with Hard to Earn in 1994 (on “F.A.L.A.”). He also appeared on DJ Krush’s “Meiso” from 1998’s Moment of Truth, and contributed to Guru’s “Jazzmatazz” albums.
